Our wines win awards every year, whether it’s a medal in prestigious competitions throughout France, or getting 90+ grades from renowned wine figures such as critics Lisa Perrotti (Wine Advocate), James Suckling, Antonio Galloni (Vinous) and so many others. Some well-known specialised French media such as La Revue des Vins de France and Le Point are also full of praise for our productions. Our 2016 vintage even scored two stars in the Guide Hachette des Vins (Hachette Wine Guide) – a success to be proud of.
The vineyard of Château La Grande Clotte is on one block, composed of clay and limestone soil typical of the Lussac Saint-Emilion appellation. The winegrowers take good care of the 1 hectare of old vines selected to create the finest cuvee “L’Envolée”. We use green harvesting techniques to ensure the highest quality.
CHARACTER
This wine is defined by a thick colour. On the nose, it’s rich, deep and very complex. This wine is very well-balanced, both delicate and robust at the same time. The ripe and silky tannins coupled with its freshness are signs of exceptional aging potential.
silky tannins and a true harmony that you’ll discover slowly, while enjoying a meal of red meat or a generous cheeseboard.
